The Alisa Childers Podcast · #117 CCM and deconstruction: Why are so many Christian music artists leaving the faith?
Jeremy and Adrienne Camp, along with John and Korey Cooper of the band Skillet join me for an honest discussion about why there seems to be so many deconstruction/deconversion stories coming out of the Christian music industry.

Podcast 117, the first Podcast from Alisa that I've watched was so inspirational. I couldn't have picked a better "first" Podcast to introduce her to me.

The Cooper's and the Camp's displayed what a Christ follower looks like, thinks like and feels. Though I'm not familiar with Skillet, John and Korey blew me away with their spiritual intellectuality and biblical understanding. They stand as a visible reminder that you never judge people by appearance (I'm a boomer, so forgive my tendency to be a little "judgey", I'm working on it).

Jeremy and Adrienne Camp are every bit the intellectual and biblical equal but again, boomer, so I had preconceived ideas on what to expect from them based on Jeremy's music.

Alisa...wow. In this episode you did a masterful job of covering the topic and guiding the conversation. I honestly didn't want it to end. I related with so much of the conversation. I know that I will watch more of your Podcasts. This was the best hour and forty three minutes I've spent in a long time. Thank you.

I agree that being part of a church is necessary and important for accountability, encouragement, and fellowship. Unless . . . . that church is "progressive"
or an NAR (New Apostolic Reformation)church like
Bethel or Hillsong and other NAR movements.
